Before I started Integrated Marketing Communications with Dan Purdy, I had no clue what to expect. I wanted to write this blog to highlight and share some behind the scenes of the class to hopefully encourage more students to consider taking it as an elective!

This was so invaluable for my early marketing career and was also a blast to put together!
In IMC, you are put in groups of 3-4 content creators along with a product manager. Together, your squads can choose what kind of content to create for the WWU Marketing Program.
My squad decided to create long form YouTube videos aimed towards current and potential underrepresented marketing students. I had never done anything with video content before and I am proud to say I am now proficient in Adobe Premier Pro!
The other options for content include newsletter, website page, short form video, and much more. I recommend choosing content that you are unfamiliar with, it leads to immense growth and also maybe discovering a hobby you never would have discovered otherwise!
This class was so beneficial to my early marketing career and I really can't recommend it enough.
Next quarter I will be a product manager so stay tuned for what I get to be apart of creating next!
